Born to the politically prominent Koirala family , she is the daughter of Prakash Koirala and granddaughter of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala , the 22nd Prime Minister of Nepal. In , the Government of Nepal awarded her with the Order of Gorkha Dakshina Bahu , the second highest honour of the country. Koirala made her acting debut with the Nepali film Pheri Bhetaula while studying in school. The actress on Sunday took to social media to share a collage of her pictures showing her recovery. While one picture shows Manisha on a hospital bed, in the other photo the actress is seen standing valiantly surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
